War... AND...

What to post in such difficult times?

I would suggest using "AND" liberally as we move through our days.

- "I read the news about Ukraine this morning, donated to Red Cross, AND took a breath/ cried / AND sent my kids to school with a comforting smile."

- "I felt sadness and anger about those being denied entry at the border because of their skin colour, AND I started a conversation at dinner about acceptance."

or, sometimes, it can be selfish to keep yourself going:

- "I am furious about the War happening, AND I rode 5km and released my anger."

Feel free to add your #and, or don't - just do what's right for you right now.

Leaving ourselves in the place of anger, fear and negative feelings leave us in the middle of the "emotion tunnel" which creates toxic, negative stuff in our bodies. Check out the book called Burnout by Emily Nagoski Ph.D. and Amelia Nagoski, D.M.A to understand this better.
